An evening in a French city: Bordeaux. I love a city at night. Somehow it takes on a completely new ambiance. The warm glow of the streetlights; the lit interiors of restaurants and cafés that spill onto the paving stones outside; those wonderful glances into interiors to see glimpses of other people’s lives. People hanging on street corners, waiting for trams, waiting for friends, waiting for tables on packed terraces.
I am constantly inspired by the momentary overlap of unknown lives; sharing, for an undefined moment in time, the same unconscious space…the notion of parallel lives. It is a theme that constantly interrogates me, seduces me, intrigues me. We are all curious voyeurs.
