Biography
Amanda Rackowe (b.12 July 1964) is a British painter, now settled in France since 2006. She is primarily a figurative painter, whose compositions show elements of abstraction, using layers and glazes, working in oils.
After following a one year art foundation course she studied theatrical lighting design, an influence which is evident in her work. She is a regular contributor to exhibitions all over France in addition to organised solo shows.
Her work is in collections throughout Europe, the United States and Australia.
