The silo sits on its ridge, surveying the well being of the fields that feed it. It takes command of the landscape. But despite its vast presence it is forever dwarfed by the enormity of the changing skies that surround it. Daily life continues in its isolation; a lone driver passes through, momentarily, unconsciously participating, braving the frozen quiet world under a mackerel sky.
