A late afternoon sun in the northern tip of Finistere washes across the Breton coastline as the chilly but coastal breeze blows the yellow-white clouds scudding across the March sky. The whitewashed cottage stands alone on the rocky shoreline, taking the full battering of the last of the winter winds and a whiff of spring is in the air. Out of season, the shutters are closed and only the cries of the gulls can be heard on the thermal currents of the Ides of March.
