École de Plongée

On the west side of Oléron, at Le Point de Chaucre, is the diving school, which is housed in a typically white-washed small low stone building. It is dusk, and a warm yellow light shines out from between the pale blue shutters. Here, the road descends towards a sandy beach of wonderful rock pools and a small lagoon. This was arguably one of the best sunsets on the west coast.
