A cold day in February walking on the Buttes-Chaumont in Paris provided this wonderful view of Sacré-Cœur through the bare trees. Rising up above modern office and apartment blocks, older rooftops with lines of misshapen chimney pots and grand terraced houses climbing their way up the slopes of Montmartre, its white stone facade glimmers in the winter sun’s rays. The sky was one of those where it is hard to say if it is silver, grey, blue or yellow and somehow it seemed to be all of them at once.
